About Maa Jagaddhatri

Maa Jagaddhatri is a Hindu goddess who is worshipped mainly in the Indian state of West Bengal. She is considered as one of the forms of the goddess Durga and is revered as the protector of the universe.

The word “Jagaddhatri” means “the one who holds the world” and Maa Jagaddhatri is believed to be the supreme power who can protect the world from all kinds of dangers and threats. She is also known as the goddess of courage and strength and is depicted as riding a lion with ten arms, holding various weapons like a bow, arrow, sword, and trident.

Maa Jagaddhatri is mainly worshipped during the Hindu festival of Navaratri, which is celebrated for nine days in the month of Ashwin (September-October). On the 7th day of Navaratri, which is known as Maha Saptami, the puja (worship) of Maa Jagaddhatri is performed. The festival is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm, and devotees offer prayers, sing hymns, and perform various rituals to seek the blessings of the goddess.

Maa Jagaddhatri is believed to be the embodiment of power, strength, and wisdom, and her worship is said to bring prosperity, success, and happiness in life.
